We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our Medicare Mental Health Centre in Kingaroy. Reporting to the Clinical Lead, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to the South Burnett community.
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you’ll:
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual needs
- Guide and supervise clinical and non-clinical staff
- Help build a positive, collaborative team culture

On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Conduct clinical assessments and collaborate on case formulations and treatment plans for individuals with moderate, severe, and complex mental health difficulties.
- Perform risk assessments and develop comprehensive risk management plans.
- Deliver personalised, evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Provide client-centered care, involving family and significant others as appropriate.
- Offer clinical supervision and line management oversight to 3-6 staff, and provide onsite supervision to students.
About you:
We seek a professional, innovative, and compassionate clinician who excels in a multi-disciplinary team setting and enjoys collaborating with various stakeholders in the provision of health, mental health, and psychosocial services. Leadership experience is highly valued.
We’re also looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, or a related clinical discipline in mental health.
- Registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., AHPRA or AASW).
- Experience in mental health with strong assessment and intervention skills
- Capacity to manage complex presentations and crisis situations
- Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
Ready to Begin? Here's What You Need:
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain one.
- Undergo a current and satisfactory Police Check.
