About the role:
Reporting to the Maintainance Manager, this role will see you supervising a team of 6 across multiple sites in Bowen. You will take responsibility for maintaining and improving the safe use of equipment, managing and tracking schedules and initiatives for preventative maintenance, and regulatory compliance and ensuring the smooth operation of machinery in line with the WHS policies and procedures.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Establish a preventive maintenance culture to reduce unplanned repairs.
• Prioritize and provide technical advice for maintenance activities.
• Maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule.
• Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to budget targets for efficient asset management.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
• Follow safety rules and promote a safe working environment.
• Perform other assigned duties and projects.
• Analyze equipment failures and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of trade qualification (fitter or industrial electrician etc).
• Experience in managing fixed plant assets and facilities.
• Proficiency in asset management planning.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Budgeting knowledge and analytical skills.
