The Yard Brisbane seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations across our busy site. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for keeping things running safely and efficiently.

About the Role
Reporting to the Facilities and Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance staff and external contractors while ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery. You’ll play an active part in both reactive and preventative maintenance, support minor works and capital projects, and help drive sustainability across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated Facilities Team (cleaners, gardeners, maintenance staff)

· Coordinate and carry out maintenance, repairs, and small project works

· Manage contractor engagement from quote to completion

· Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and internal standards

· Maintain accurate asset registers and building plant records

· Provide technical support for capital infrastructure projects

· Use basic systems (Excel, Email) to track work and communicate with stakeholders

What You’ll Bring:

· Trade qualification or relevant facilities management experience

· Proven ability to supervise and support a diverse team

· Solid experience coordinating contractors and quoting jobs

· Sound understanding of WHS, building codes, and compliance standards

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to work autonomously and solve problems on the fly

· Hands-on experience in trades (e.g. mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical) highly regarded
