The Role
A State Government department is seeking an experienced VPS7 Project Director to join a newly established task force responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of a new policy system. This is a high-impact role for a senior professional with a strong background in government, education policy, and system reform. This is a 6-month contract with a strong potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and roll out of a new policy system.
- Manage policy implementation aligned with state and national priorities.
- Provide strategic advice on education reform and regulatory initiatives.
- Work closely with executives, legal teams, and the Federal Government.
- Build and manage strong communication networks and stakeholder relationships.
About You
- Significant experience in government or regulatory environments, ideally in early childhood or education.
- Proven leadership in designing and implementing policy or governance systems.
- Strong understanding of public sector reform, legislation, and multi-agency cooperation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, project delivery, and strategic advisory skills.
