We’re also an industrial rope access company offering high rise painting, remedial services, façade cleaning, inspection and maintenance services. We are looking for a qualified rope access trade painter to join our Melbourne team.

To qualify for the position, you must have experience in:

Working with the management team in consulting with clients, as required, about type of surface and optimal paint options, particularly for high-rise buildings and construction sites, and advising on best high-rise painting solutions

Determining amount and type of paint to be sued, as well as material/tools needed to complete the job and organising materials within allocated budget

Performing industrial rope access work; use rope access skills to complete paint jobs

Preparing surfaces for painting; removing old paint, filling holes and washing surfaces.

Using appropriate tools and materials to prepare surfaces for priming and painting

Ensuring surfaces are not exposed to moisture by sealing cracks and corners, especially on building facades

Painting different surface type including, but not limited to, windowsills, metal roofs, steel structures and beams, and building facades

Applying different painting techniques to achieve desired outcome for clients

Performing restoration, rendering, installation, and maintenance work on building structures as required before painting

Carrying out work allocated in a safe and efficient manner

Preparing, removing and cleaning up paint spills, dust, and other materials from completed job site

Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (preferable)

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a trade painter and knowledge of the building repair and maintenance industry

- Rope Access certified (any level) with a minimum 3 years’ experience as a rope access technician

- A valid white card

- Full work rights in Australia

- Strong problem-solving skills to face unexpected challenges that arises

- Good communication skills when working with other technicians, contractors, suppliers, clients, building managers, engineers, etc.

- A strong commitment to completing projects on time and within budget
