We are seeking skilled and experienced Rope Access Painter/Blasters to join our team at Aloca Portland Aluminium Smelter in Victoria for approximately 6 month term. You will carry out remediation works, playing a crucial part in the structural integrity and maintenance across various sections of the smelter.
Key Duties
- Perform blasting and painting tasks on structural components, including steel structures, cable tray supports, air slide supports, handrails, and gantries.
- Engage in encapsulation and ensure environmental safety in line with Alcoa's Environmental Policy.
- Work collaboratively with a team of experts employing scaffolding and rope access techniques.
About You
- Local applicants from the Portland region are strongly encouraged to apply
- Proven experience in Rope Access Painter/Blaster within a heavy industrial setting
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Surface Finishing)
- Working at Heights within 2 years
- Construction White Card
- Valid certifications for rope access (IRATA) are highly desirable.

What We Offer
- FIFO to Melbourne Airport from any major capital city then carpool to site
- 12hr days x 13-day fortnight
- 4 weeks on – 2 weeks off
- Paid 8hr RDO/Travel Day each fortnight
- Accommodation provided + LAHA $80 per day for food provided for non-local employees.
