Best Kidz Southern Highlands is seeking an Early childhood educator (Diploma or studying towards Diploma in children's services). The position is a Full-time or Part time position at our Mittagong centre as an assisting educator.

You will be part of our team, driving our philosophy, vision and values as well as coaching and mentoring our team of passionate educators in their journey of continuous improvement.

Bringing your passion for working with children, you will be pivotal to our success, our programming, our team based culture and achieving a standard of excellence in childcare.

You will work with a team of dedicated managers, educators and assistants to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Early years learning framework (EYLF) whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standards (NQS).

Best Kidz is a 51 place privately owned Long day care service. Our operating hours are 7:30am-6pm Monday-Friday. We provide care to children aged 0-5 years. We know early childhood is a critical time in the growth and development of a child, and as such, we strive to support and scaffold their life long learning and well-being.

Are you the Educator we are looking for?

Do you have:-

An understanding of Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting requirements.

Knowledge of the Early Years Framework

Strong ability to communicate to families and staff

Excellent time management skills

Experience with children ranging from ages 6 weeks to 5 years

You will need the following to be considered for the role;

Early childhood cert 111 or Diploma in Children Services or working towards your Diploma in children's services as recognised by ACEQA

Willing to works towards your Diploma in Children's services. ( Government funded- no out of pocket expenses)

Current working with children check

Current full first aid certification and current CPR

Current recognised child protection training

Preferred but not essential:

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Recent Safe Sleep Training

Own car and license

You will bring;

Passion for childcare

Great communication skills

Knowledge of regulations, Early Years learning framework and the National Quality Framework
