Salary Range: $73,000 – $78,000 (depending on skills and experience)

Sorrelli Cafe, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join our team.

About Us:
Sorrelli Cafe is a much-loved local destination open 7 days a week from 8:00am to 9:00pm, offering an inviting space to enjoy great coffee and delicious house-made meals. Our menu celebrates contemporary Italian inspired cuisine, with an extensive selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes, along with fresh salads, pasta, wraps, and an array of sweet treats - all made using seasonal, locally sourced produce.

Main Duties:

Prepare and cook a broad range of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to consistently high standards.

Contribute to menu planning and daily specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.

Oversee daily kitchen operations across all shifts, ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor costs to support efficient kitchen operations.

Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain excellent teamwork and performance.

Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and prepared to our established standards.

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.

Minimum of one year of relevant experience as a Chef in a similar role.

Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

A passion for creating fresh, flavoursome food and delivering an outstanding experience for every guest.
