The Shire of Exmouth is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Information Communications Technology (ICT) Officer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Coordinator Communications, this role provides Information Communications Technology (ICT) support to administrative staff and the Council and assists in providing advice and implementing the appropriate strategic direction of Council ICT systems, including performance and processes. This is a diverse role that will see you involved in the following;
· Providing ICT helpdesk support and assisting staff in the resolution of ICT issues.
· Sharing your knowledge and understanding of technology, procedures and processes used in the communications department.
· Development of support documentation to manage known errors and troubleshooting emerging issues.
· Maintaining physical security and good order of our Data Centre and ICT working environments.
· Maintain information security through equipment data wiping, managing disposals and configuration wipes of any infrastructure equipment.
· Monitoring trends, emerging issues, and best practices within local government to provide tactical and technical advice in the development and implementation of the Shire’s ICT infrastructure.
· Provide strategic support and advice to all sections of the Shire on how to use ICT and emerging technologies most effectively.
About you: We are looking for someone that is organized, has great customer services skills and can solve the variety of IT issues that arise across out diverse workforce. Ideally, you will have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or directly relevant experience. You will be an analytical thinker and able to research issues, interpret, and analyse information and communicate this across a range of levels. We need you to have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft server systems and various network solutions, as well as practical knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office within an enterprise environment.
What we offer: This position is classified as a Level 7 under the Shire of Exmouth Enterprise Agreement 2017, and comes with the following remuneration benefits;
· Base salary of $76,748 per annum
· Housing – limited housing options may be available OR housing allowance of $15,600 p/a if housing not required
· Up to 21.5% superannuation (includes co-contribution by you)
· Regular RDOs and 5-weeks of annual leave
· Eligibility for pro rata long service leave after 7 years of service (conditions apply), uniform allowance, employee assistance program and other wellbeing services.
