Lawpoint is looking for a highly ambitious, talented juniour lawyer with 2+ years PQE who is hungry to learn about all areas of the law.
This is a unique opportunity to build a solid foundation across a broad range of legal areas - from wills and estate matters to commercial, litigation and beyond. Rather than being siloed into one niche, you'll gain experience across various areas that will help you understand how the law connects and become a better problem solver because you've seen how legal issues overlap in client matters.
Key Responsibilities
Handling a variety of legal matters across different practice areas, including family law, property law, commercial law, litigation, wills & estates and personal injury.
Managing matters with increasing autonomy while receiving mentoring and guidance.
Attending court proceedings, mediations and client meetings, developing advocacy skills.
Liaising with highly regarded senior counsel.
Conducting legal research and drafting advice, pleadings, contracts and other legal documents.
Building strong client relationships and developing a professional network.
Working with legal technology including PEXA and Leap Legal.

Essential experience and qualifications
2+ years PQE with a current NSW practising certificate.
Previous experience in a generalist law firm.
Experience in two or more of the following areas: family law, property law, litigation, commercial law, wills & estates.
Strong legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
Strong client relationship skills.
A solutions oriented mindset, proactive approach and eagerness to learn.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
A client-centric mindset and a commitment to providing clear, plain English legal advice.
Highly Regarded Experience
Experience in transactional property law.
Experience with Leap Legal Software
Experience with PEXA.
