Let’s talk about the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to work within a multi-disciplinary team to lead investigations into allegations of corrupt conduct in the performance of the Commission’s principal functions.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Annual salary is $114,688 to $127,187 (which includes overtime allowance), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

Essential requirements

Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:

  • Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge, the criminal law, the rules of evidence and criminal procedures and an understanding of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988 is desirable.
  • The position holder must have well developed planning and organisational abilities, problem solving and analytical skills, to discern relevant information from large quantities of material and data, as well as to assist in the preparation and writing of reports for consideration.
  • The position holder must have well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable them to effectively interact with people of diverse background, occupation, and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.
  • Experience in investigating allegations of corrupt or criminal conduct or public sector misconduct is highly desirable.

The NSW ICAC was established in 1988 as an independent organisation to protect the public interest, prevent breaches of public trust and guide the conduct of public officials in the NSW public sector. We are committed to:

  • educating the NSW community and public sector about corruption and its effects.
