Work Skills is a privately owned Registered Training Organisation. We specialise in delivering nationally recognised qualifications throughout Queensland.

We require a full time Automotive panel beater and/or spray painter.

Duties & responsibilities:

The job role entails servicing approximately 65 apprentices throughout Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and some north Qld regions: There will be some away from home travel (no more than a week at a time) and admin time for marking students work and planning and preparation.

The daily job role is that you drive to 3 training appointments per day (in your company car) and deliver training and assessment to each student, in their workplace. This is called workplace training. With 65 students you will see most students on a monthly cycle.

This role requires that you have:

• An automotive qualification as a panel beater and/or spray painter
• You are required to have completed a certificate IV in training and assessment. If you do not have this, we help you enrol and complete this qualification as part of your new career journey.

This position is ideally suited to an individual with the following skills:

• A desire for education and training
• Competent computer skills (we support you to learn this)
• Current industry experience and knowledge is essential
• The ability to build relationships with Employers, Supervisors and Apprentices
• Ensure that a high level of quality training is delivered
• Able to adapt to different work environments.
• Be willing to accept change
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Remain calm under pressure with a solution focused approach to all tasks
• Ability to travel throughout Queensland
