Knight’s Smash Repairs is a family owned and operated business and is known as a leading smash repairer in Roma QLD. We have a vacancy for a full-time permanent Vehicle Panel Beater, who is passionate about what you do and enjoy working in a busy team environment.

As a Panel Beater, you will have the qualification and skills in repairing all types of vehicles. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out the following duties.

Removing damaged panels and parts, and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access.

Inspect cars, record appropriate details and apply contemporary technologies and processes for vehicle repair as relevant to panel beating.

Removing dents by hammering panels.

Straightening damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment.

Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels.

Filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces.

Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment.

Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks and trims.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this position, you will have to meet the following requirements.

AQF Qualified in certificate III in automotive vehicle body (vehicle painting) or equivalent or relevant experience

Minimum 4 years’ experience

Remuneration:

$77,000 to $82,000 Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
