Posted 8 days ago
Do you thrive on creating community, organising impactful events, and helping people transform their lives through fitness?
If you're a people person with energy, initiative, and a passion for making a real difference—this might just be your next big move.
Who We Are
At PLC Joondalup, we’re more than just a gym — we’re a movement. We’ve built a tight-knit community of people driven to become stronger, healthier, and more connected. With a brand that stands for transformation and an experience that goes beyond the workout, PLC is now entering an exciting new phase of growth.
We’re expanding our vision, evolving our services, and putting a stronger emphasis on community, events, and connection. As we level up, we’re looking for someone to grow with us — someone who sees fitness as more than physical and wants to help others become the best version of themselves.
About the Role
We're looking for an Assistant Club & Community Manager who will be hands-on in daily operations, while also owning the energy and engagement of our club culture. You’ll play a key role in sales, member relationships, local outreach and most importantly—bringing the PLC vibe to life through events and community-building initiatives.
You’ll support the Club Manager and lead efforts across:
Member engagement & customer service
Event planning and execution (think social events, transformation challenges, charity activations, local collaborations, etc.)
Local business outreach & partnerships
Sales & lead generation
Team coordination and communication
Social & brand marketing input (in collaboration with our marketing coordinator)
About You
You’re the kind of person who:
Loves fitness, but loves people even more
Has a creative eye for community-building and a flair for event planning
Feeds off team energy and knows how to get buy-in from both staff and members
Can hold high standards and hit targets while still being approachable and fun
Is driven, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Supporting club operations including lead generation, member onboarding, and day-to-day club management
Planning, promoting, and delivering regular community events and initiatives
Building strong relationships with members and driving retention through engagement
Liaising with marketing to amplify brand voice across platforms and the community
Supporting and inspiring our PT team and coaching crew
Driving membership growth through creative outreach and value-driven communication
Bringing fresh ideas to the table and helping shape the future of PLC Joondalup
You’ll Need:
Experience in fitness, hospitality, or event coordination (or all three!)
Proven leadership or team coordination experience
Sales experience and confidence in hitting KPIs
Strong people and communication skills
A can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset
Passion for community, culture, and impact
What’s On Offer:
Competitive salary + performance bonuses
Clear growth pathway and leadership development
Ongoing mentorship and training
A high-energy, passionate team culture
The chance to be part of something bigger than just a job
