Banana Backpackers, an exciting and recently renovated hostel nestled in the heart of vibrant Brisbane!
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Front office Superstar with a passion for providing exceptional customer service to oversee our daily operations. This position is available for an immediate start for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the hostel's day-to-day operations, ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable experience while staying with us. You'll be the go-to person for any guest queries and questions and will work closely with our friendly team to ensure the smooth running of our facilities.

We're looking for someone who not only has a great vibe and energy but also possesses excellent communication and leadership skills to inspire and motivate our team. You'll be up-to-date with all the latest exciting things to do in the hostel and the surrounding area, ensuring that our guests have the best possible experience during their stay.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure high-quality customer service is provided to guests
- Manage reservations and check-ins, payments and check outs
- Handle customer queries and questions
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, staff, and vendors
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards - some ad hoc cleaning required
- Deal with any issues that arise
- Promotion of the business
Requirements:
- Prior experience in hotel/ hostel management preferred
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in computer applications and software
- Good understanding of Cloudbeds property management systems and social media platforms is favorable
- Strong ability to multitask
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off roster, including weekends and holidays
