The Business

This Sydney based practice is growing and offers a long-term opportunity to an associate who wants to learn and develop professionally along the way in a business that offers tremendous exposure to broad range of investment strategies. A nimble, innovative and agile group, with excellent operational support, all decisions are made where the client’s best interests are front and centre. They are passionate about building a strong cohort of senior associate advisers or junior advisers and are currently on a strong growth trajectory.

The Role

• Responsible for assisting one of the Senior Advisers with the proactive management of a client’s affairs. This includes ongoing client maintenance, preparing for annual progress meeting’s and managing/preparing any compliance obligations and reviews
• Developing and manage internal relationships with the Advisers and key external service providers to create and maintain administrative and operational efficiencies
• Formulate and preparing advice documentation and strategic modelling together with portfolio review & rebalance and manage the client onboarding process
• Analysis of cashflow, risk, debt and gearing and projections using all relevant software

About you:

• Degree qualified, you will meet all the current education requirements and be committed to ongoing learning and training on the job
• Strong technical acumen, high attention to detail and proactive in approach
• Ideally, you will have completed your PY but it’s not essential – you could be part way through or still to start
• Strategic in your thinking coupled with a commercial mindset
• Experience within a paraplanning, client service or other associate role preferred so that you can hit the ground running
• Have a solid understanding of tax, superannuation, retirement income streams, investments and financial products
• Be genuinely passionate and driven to succeed in this industry with impeccable communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoy working as part of a team with the ability to use initiative and judgement in problem solving situations
• You will have 3-5 years’ experience in the industry
