The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Barista / Front‑of‑House team member to join Merienda Bakery in Ivanhoe East, VIC. This part‑time position is perfect for someone who loves coffee culture, thrives on friendly customer interactions, and takes pride in crafting a welcoming atmosphere.

What You’ll Be Doing

Crafting and serving a range of hot and cold beverages—from classic espresso‑based coffees to specialty teas and seasonal creations

Greeting customers with a warm smile and ensuring each visit feels like a mini merienda moment

Keeping your station spotless and well‑stocked so every drink is served at its best

Pitching in with light food prep and display refills as needed

Following all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines to maintain our high standards

What We’re Looking For

Previous barista or hospitality experience, with solid coffee‑making chops and knowledge of brewing methods

A friendly, professional manner and excellent communication skills

The ability to thrive in a busy, team‑focused bakery setting

A genuine love for food, beverages, and the stories they tell

Availability for flexible part‑time shifts, including weekends and public holidays
