PJ’s 4x4 and Donway Caravans are looking for a self motivated, mechanically minded person with a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving to join our amazing team as an Installation/Service Technician. Experience preferred but not essential.

THE ROLE

The Installation/Service Technician will complement our close team of employees in a warehouse operations based role under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and General Manager. The Installation/Service Technician will predominantly be responsible for servicing, repairs and maintenance of caravans along with installation and maintenance of 4x4 accessories with guidance from the Warehouse Manager. The Installation/Service Technician will be required to be flexible in their role and complete any reasonable task they are directed to do such as compiling and assisting with warranty claims, readying caravans for handovers, assisting at shows and occasionally serving customers. The Installation/Service Technician will be responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete caravan and trailer servicing to a high standard.

Installation of caravan accessories to a high standard.

Installation of 4x4 accessories to a high standard.

Assist in maintaining adequate records.

Assist in compiling warranty claims.

The compilation of insurance claims.

Caravan repair and maintenance.

Assist in maneuvering vehicles and caravans in a safe manner.

General housekeeping duties in the warehouse and yard.

Liaise directly with customers and suppliers to troubleshoot problems.

Monitor stock levels of required workshop parts and equipment.

Assist with Caravan and Camping Shows and Sales Events if required.

Preparing stock for customer delivery.

Assist Sales team to complete tasks.

Liaise directly with our manufacturing plant for product queries.

Assist to organise interstate fitments and liaise with 3rd party installers.

Complete handover of 4x4 product direct to customers.

Assist with caravan handover if required.

Assist in marketing projects if required.

Any other reasonable task when directed.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience in trailer/caravan servicing.

Communication: The candidate should have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and senior management.

Adaptability: The candidate should be adaptable and flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing circumstances.

Attention to Detail: The candidate should have exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that all service & installation processes are executed accurately and efficiently.

Customer Focus: The candidate should be customer-focused, with a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service when required.

Full Driver’s Licence.

HOURS

Mon-Fri: 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Additional half Saturdays if requested (Max 6 per year).

SALARY
Annual Salary of $55,000 - $65,000 to be negotiated depending on experience.
