About the role
This is a part-time Dietitian - Grade 2 - Paediatrics role with Northern Health, located in Craigieburn. As a Dietitian - Grade 2 - Paediatrics, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition advice and support to paediatric patients and their families, playing a crucial part in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
What you'll be doing
Assess the nutritional needs of paediatric patients and develop personalised dietary plans to promote their health and well-being
Provide counselling and education to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, dietary management of medical conditions, and nutritional requirements for growth and development
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care
Contribute to the development and implementation of nutrition-related policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
Participate in research and other professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in paediatric nutrition
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Dietetics or Nutrition, with at least 2 years of experience in a paediatric healthcare setting
Demonstrated expertise in the assessment, planning, and delivery of nutrition care for paediatric patients with diverse medical and dietary needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the advancement of paediatric nutrition practices
