About the role:
This part-time Paediatric Psychologist - Grade 2 - Outpatients role at Northern Health in Craigieburn, Victoria offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families. As a key member of the clinical team, you will provide high-quality psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions to support the mental health and well-being of paediatric outpatients.
What you'll be doing:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify the needs of paediatric clients and develop tailored intervention plans
Deliver individual and group-based psychological therapies, including counselling and family-based interventions
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, holistic care for clients
Provide consultative support and clinical advice to other healthcare professionals
Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives
Participate in research and quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery
What we're looking for:
Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Paediatric Psychologist
Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for children and adolescents
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice
