Role Type: part time, contract till end of 2025
Salary: $107,589 - $121,045 p.a plus super (pro rata)
Coordinate B4K pilot study within the High Risk Infant Flagship
Manage timelines, ethics, documentation, and stakeholder meetings
Support app development, co-design, and future trial planning
The opportunity:
The Intervention arm of the Flagship has developed "Bundle For Kids" (B4K): a co-designed program of targeted developmental intervention packages, aiming to improve health and developmental outcomes in children deemed "high-risk" at birth. These will be piloted in children now aged 2-3 years to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed intervention packages.
The Senior Project Coordinator will support the running of the MCRI High Risk Infant Flagship, and particularly the planning and implementation of the B4K effectiveness-implementation pilot study. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key role in implementation design, app development, and co-design, with plans to scale up to a larger trial in future. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of research coordination and planning, including consumer involvement, writing protocols and ethics submissions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Liaising with research and clinical staff across the Melbourne Children's to support a campus-wide approach to Newborn Medicine research, including preparation of ethics submission, reports, recruitment and advertising of staff, clinician and non-clinician researchers and students.
- Assisting with applications for funding from government, non-government and institutional sources to support campus-wide initiatives in Newborn Medicine.
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, briefing papers and policy documents for various stakeholders including the Melbourne Children's Campus senior executive.
- Facilitating and leading internal and external meetings/workshops with stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
- Negotiating and managing stakeholder expectations in relation to project delivery (time/resource/cost implications/risk)
What we need from you:
- Degree/Honours/Masters/PhD qualification in relevant field
- An appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation
- Extensive experience in project management across multiple projects, from developing project plans and bringing a project to fruition within budget and within the agreed time frame
- Proven high level experience in navigating and negotiating with multiple organisations and professional groups within a project management framework
- Demonstrates advanced facilitation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating to a wide range of stakeholders
