About the business

Mount Isa City Council provides employment for approximately 200 employees in a variety of full time, part time, contractual and casual positions.

These positions cover the full scope of Council operations from administration, financial, professional and technical roles to operational positions within the various sections.

About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide human resources advice in all functions (including administration,

recruitment, employee development, support disciplinary action, training and performance monitoring)

and support all levels within the organisation in line with the direction and values of Mount Isa City Council.

About You

You will have:

• High level of Human Resource knowledge and understanding of recruitment procedures

preferably in Local Government.

• Sound knowledge of and experience interpreting and applying certified agreements, awards, and

legislation, and policy.

• High level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain

relationships with internal and external customers.

• High level of administrative and computing ability incorporating Microsoft Suite of programs.

• Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
