Production Technician

Location: Hastings, VIC
Employment Type: Full-time or fixed term (with pathway to permanent) dependent on the candidate.

About the Role

CORE Roll Surface Technologies is seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Technician to join our team in Hastings on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a clear pathway to a permanent, full-time role for the right candidate.

You will be working in a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment where teamwork, initiative, and reliability are highly valued.

The role requires shift work and the flexibility for overtime following the completion of an initial training program.

Prior experience in heavy industry, trade qualifications, or exposure to environments such as mining, manufacturing or transport would be highly regarded.

Other high-risk work licences, such as Forklift (LF), Heavy Vehicle (HR non-synchro), and Crane (CB) are advantageous but not essential.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A commitment to safety and following established procedures

A strong work ethic and reliability as a team player

Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude

The ability to troubleshoot equipment and carry out basic repairs

A proactive approach to identifying improvements

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

A customer-focused attitude
