About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking a high-performing Test Analyst with an active TSPV clearance to support a mission-critical government program in Canberra. This role offers a long-term contract and the chance to work in a secure, structured environment where quality assurance is central to delivery success.

You’ll be embedded in a multi-disciplinary Agile team responsible for ensuring the integrity, performance, and reliability of complex systems and applications that support sensitive government functions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts across various phases of testing (unit, system, integration, UAT, regression)

Perform hands-on functional and non-functional testing in secure environments

Identify, log, prioritise, and manage defects through their lifecycle

Collaborate with developers, BAs, delivery leads and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage and traceability of requirements

Apply risk-based testing methodologies and provide timely feedback to support sprint and release goals

Document all test artefacts in accordance with audit and compliance standards

Contribute to test automation initiatives where appropriate

Maintain strict adherence to all information security and clearance protocols as required in a TSPV setting

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

Essential:

Active TSPV security clearance – due to the nature of the work, this is non-negotiable

Strong hands-on experience as a Test Analyst or QA Engineer in complex software delivery projects

Demonstrated understanding of various testing types: functional, regression, integration, and UAT

Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM, TestRail or equivalent

Proven ability to write clear, traceable test cases and manage test documentation

Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery environments

Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams

High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability

Desirable:

Experience in national security, intelligence, defence, or law enforcement sectors

Exposure to automated testing frameworks or scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Python, Bash)

Knowledge of CI/CD processes and DevOps tooling

Understanding of risk-based testing and test strategy development

Engagement Type: Full-time Contract

Duration: Initial 12 months with likely extensions

Location: Canberra, ACT (on-site only – no remote or hybrid options due to security requirements)

Security Clearance: Must hold current and active TSPV at the time of application

Start Date: Negotiable with notice period considered

Rates: Competitive daily rates offered, based on experience and capability
