About the role
A to Z Allied Health is seeking an experienced mobile Speech Pathologist to join our team on a contract basis. We are committed to providing exceptional allied health support services that empower individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing tailored therapy to paediatric clients.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments to identify client needs
Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to address a range of communication and swallowing difficulties
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic, patient-centred care
Delivering evidence-based intervention through one-on-one and group therapy sessions
Maintaining detailed client records and preparing progress reports
Participating in professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
What we're looking for
A bachelor's or master's degree in Speech Pathology
Certified Practising status via Speech Pathology Australia
Current driver's licence and your own car
Demonstrated experience in the assessment and treatment in a range of practice areas (we specifically see client's who need support with: speech, language, literacy, multimodal communication (AAC) assessment/treatment)
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of clients and their families
Current and valid Working with Children Check
National Police Clearance
Current professional indemnity, public liability and income protection insurance (or the ability to obtain these before commencing clinical work).
Value honesty, independence, collaboration, passion, enthusiasm, learning and reflection
Have experience and/or are willing to work within the NDIS space
Current NDIS worker number (or ability to obtain prior to commencing clinical work)
