We’re building a large and sustainable community that work together, and we’re looking for a forward-thinking Senior Business System Analyst to help drive innovation and organisational improvement through the strategic use of technology and systems.

About the Role
This is an exciting fixed-term opportunity through to 3 June 2027, working full-time within the Corporate Strategy & Performance Directorate. Reporting to the Business Improvement Program Manager, this role plays a key part in shaping and delivering high-impact business improvement initiatives across the organisation.

As a Senior Business System Analyst, you will collaborate across business units to design, document and implement system-based solutions that improve performance, enable efficiency, and enhance service delivery. You will act as a subject matter expert in the analysis and optimisation of enterprise systems, and play a key role in driving change, fostering innovation, and mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and mapping of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable business solutions aligned with strategic goals.
  • Facilitate workshops, lead system enhancements, and ensure user adoption through training and support.
  • Provide expert guidance in systems configuration, data flow, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes, and frameworks across the City.

What You Will Bring

  • A qualification in Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in business process improvement, systems design, and stakeholder engagement.
  • High-level skills in systems analysis, reporting, and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems, data management, and process methodologies.
