Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and perform data entry
Process accounts payable and receivable
Bank and account reconciliations
Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll, superannuation and PAYG
Manage payroll for staff and contractors
Assist with monthly reporting and cash flow tracking
Liaise with external accountant as needed
Monitor job costs and assist with budget tracking
General admin and support to the business director
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant
Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software
Understanding of ATO compliance, GST and payroll obligations
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisation
Construction industry experience is a plus but not essential
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
