INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME is therefore in a position to employ a team with hundreds of years ICU/PICU experience, giving us the ability to look after more and more long-term ICU/PICU Patients at home, which has been formerly unheard of until 2014 in Australia.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a fast-growing company, Intensive Care at Home is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team on a full-time basis as a maternity leave cover for a period of 12–18 months.
While this role is initially for maternity leave cover, due to the company’s ongoing growth and expansion, there is potential for the position to transition into a permanent full-time role within the organisation.
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Nurse Manager who is ready for a new challenge. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and the ability to drive excellence in a growing team, promoting unity and the delivery of high-quality, client-centred care.
To join our friendly and passionate team at INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME, you must have proven experience at a senior nursing/management level, have a genuine interest in and respect for the unique personality, history, and values of our clients, have the capacity to build secure and trustworthy relationships with both patient and family members, be flexible with the ability to adapt to change and be a positive team player.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years ICU/PICU experience with postgraduate critical care qualification
Minimum of 2 years NUM/ ANUM experience
An in-depth understanding of INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME
Fast learner (you will need to demonstrate how you have done this in the past)
Some travel is required as & when the need arises
The ability to be innovative
the ability to lead a large remote intensive care nursing workforce
Proven track record of achieving challenging KPI's within a budget
A positive attitude with all stakeholders with a “can-do", resilient, no-excuses and “do-whatever-it-takes” approach
Excellent clinical documentation practice and operational nursing skills
Filling nursing shifts as & when required
Sound knowledge & understanding of rostering
Work collaboratively with internal & external stake holders
The ability to take on new challenges i.e. Willingness to work outside of your comfort zone
Embracing a results-driven environment with a high degree of accountability
The ability to lead, manage and motivate a nursing team in a challenging environment
Development of policies and procedures in collaboration with internal stakeholders
A working knowledge of the NDIS/TAC/ DVA and other funding organizations
Excellent communication skills
Strong negotiations skills
The ability to motivate teams, clients and stakeholders
Demonstrate strong customer service ethos and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
A high degree of self-awareness
Must be dedicated to supporting our hard working and passionate nurses at all times
Proven extensive experience in clinical leadership and management of a team
