HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit a Legal Assistant for their Insurance Litigation team in Brisbane. This is a rare opportunity to support a well-regarded partner with almost three decades of experience across a wide spectrum of insurance matters—including professional liability, personal injury, life and TPD, property damage, and complex disputes.

You’ll join a collaborative and high-performing practice group known for its technical excellence, commercial approach, and practical solutions, supporting institutional clients, statutory bodies, and major insurers across Australia.

What you’ll be doing:

▪️ Supporting a senior partner and legal team across a range of insurance litigation matters

▪️ Drafting and preparing court and legal documents, correspondence, and briefs

▪️ Diary, email, and travel coordination including hearing preparation and conference scheduling

▪️ File and document management including court filings and e-briefs

▪️ Monthly billing, trust accounting, and timesheet management using Elite 3E and iManage

Who we’re looking for:

▪️ Legal Assistant with 2+ years’ experience in litigation (insurance experience ideal but not essential)

▪️ Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal practice systems (e.g., iManage, Elite, Zeno)

▪️ Confident communicator with strong initiative and attention to detail

▪️ Able to work in a fast-paced practice with multiple priorities

▪️ Comfortable working directly with partners, clients, and external stakeholders
