The Role

Join our Breathing Space team! As a Specialist Behaviour Change Facilitator you’ll be working to change behaviours of men who choose to use violence through a first of its kind residential group facilitation program.

In this role your Key Responsibilities will include:

Facilitation of group work for men who choose to use violence in intimate relationships and provide support to work towards positive change.

Contributing to risk assessments, safety planning, case note and report writing.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders.

Managing crisis and emotional distress of clients.

This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight and will provide a supportive learning environment to develop your understanding and skills.

Selection Criteria

Qualification in a human services field, and/or experience in a related field.

Ability to identify and respond to challenging behaviours and manage crisis situations.

Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and people with disabilities.

Unrestricted driver's licence, Police clearance, Working With Children Check.
