The Opportunity:

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of Queensland's largest infrastructure programs. As a Project Officer, you will provide comprehensive project and administrative support, ensuring effective coordination of administration activities and systems, including records management.

Your work will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless planning, coordination, and delivery of infrastructure projects outlined in the 2032 Delivery Plan. By collaborating with various stakeholders, you will support the successful delivery of major venues, contributing to the legacy of the Games and shaping Queensland's future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide active contribution to the administration of complex government infrastructure projects, including working with program and project teams, consultants and/or multi-disciplinary teams to ensure risks are effectively managed and key program project milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate office administration activities and systems including supporting the Director and team, and ensuring documentation is stored and maintained accurately within the records management systems.
  • Provide secretariat support for project and program governance, including project control groups and working groups, committees, forums, events, roundtables, including managing meeting logistics, agendas, detailed minutes and action items.
  • Establish and maintain effective networks with internal and external stakeholders including across three tiers of government, peak industry and sporting bodies and business associations.
  • Contribute to, and coordinate program and project reporting, briefings, submissions, board papers and other materials and other correspondence in line with governance frameworks, ensuring the integrity of sensitive documentation and information.
  • Undertake research and analysis on a range of topics to support key functional areas in developing solutions, proposals, and recommendation.

Required Experience:

  • Experience working within a project environment including the coordination of documentation and correspondence, reporting, risk management and procurement activities;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex tasks effectively;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated success in high-accuracy roles;
  • The ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders;
  • Flexibility to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; and
  • Previous experience within a infrastructure/construction program environment will be highly regarded.
