About The Opportunity
Thomas Noble & Russell is looking for full-time Accountants based in Lismore, NSW. While this position is aimed at experienced professionals, TNR also welcomes recent graduates with strong academic results who are looking to kickstart their accounting careers in a supportive and reputable firm.
You will manage client engagements from start to finish, supervise junior staff, and contribute to high-quality outcomes across tax and advisory.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing medium-sized client jobs from end-to-end for manager review
Preparing and reviewing tax returns, financial statements, BAS and FBT returns
Coaching and supervising junior team members, reviewing workpapers and providing training
Assisting with the preparation of client budgets and monitoring job costs
Liaising directly with clients and addressing technical queries
Participating in client meetings and drafting correspondence
Identifying strategic or complex technical issues for escalation
Preparing compliance documentation for Superannuation Funds using Class
Transitioning and working with accounting platforms including Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
Engaging in internal technical training sessions and mentoring others
Supporting ad-hoc business projects and community-based initiatives
About You
To qualify, you will need a completed tertiary qualification majoring in Accounting. CA, CPA qualified or Business Services experience are highly regarded. TNR is also open to recent graduates with a strong academic record (minimum credit average) who are eager to learn and grow within a highly supportive environment.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Demonstrated understanding of Australian Taxation Law and corporate law
Experience using MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, and Class
Strong experience supervising junior accountants and developing capability
Ability to analyse financial data, interpret client agreements, and prepare logical workpapers

About the Benefits
You will receive a competitive salary between $75,000 - $120,000 (based on experience), plus a range of benefits including:
