About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our growing Rehabilitation ward. We currently have a Permanent Part-Time position available working 32 hours per week. This role will involve working on a 24/7 rotating roster including working mornings, lates, nights and occasional weekend shifts.
Located within our 12-bed Rehab ward, we care for a diverse range of orthopaedic, general medical, and surgical patients as we support them on their journey to functional recovery and safe return home. Our rehabilitation service is founded on a multidisciplinary approach, where nursing staff collaborate closely with specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, psychologists, podiatrists, orthotists/prosthetists, and pharmacists to ensure optimal patient outcomes are achieved. Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour (Registered Nurse Level 1) plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- You will provide technical assistance during procedures, ensuring excellent standards of nursing care at all times.
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you

Other skills and experience include:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Minimum 12 months post graduate experience
- Demonstrated rehabilitation nursing experience
- Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times.
