About the role
The Supervisor Accounts Payable role will provide supervision, development and facilitation to the facilities, activities and resources contributing to competitive best practice accounts payable services to customers.
You will lead and supervise the Accounts Payable team to ensure high productivity and performance to ensure accuracy of processes and procedures to maintain compliance with payable data.
Duties will include.
Conduct business transactions ethically, efficiently, and professionally.
Verify accounts payable data, including vendor master data, invoices, and payment transactions.
Identify and resolve gaps in staff competencies related to business processes and policies.
Ensure efficient and accurate processing of payment requests through procure to pay or non-order processes for timely vendor payments.
Provide consultancy on Accounts Payable business rules, processes, and procedures.
Promote and support Accounts Payable services, ensuring compliance with city policies, business rules, and legislation.
Focus on business improvement initiatives for various accounts payable functions, including payment processing, vendor data maintenance, corporate purchase cards, and customer queries.
Motivate and direct the team to achieve best practices in procure to pay processes.
Ensure the accuracy to vendor master data processes with an emphasis on fraud prevention.
Ensure corporate purchase cards processes are adhered to and compliance is upheld as per the city’s policies and procedures.
