As the Senior Gifts in Wills Manager at a prestigious university, you'll be at the forefront of securing transformative bequests that will help shape the institution's future. You'll have the opportunity to build and manage relationships with prospective and confirmed benefactors, aligning their personal legacies with the university's mission. Your role will directly impact the long-term success of the university's philanthropic efforts, making this a key position for those passionate about relationship-driven fundraising and higher education advancement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Donor Relationships: Build and nurture a portfolio of up to 200 prospective and confirmed benefactors, focusing on securing planned gifts.
  • Drive Program Strategy: Contribute to the implementation of the university's Gifts in Wills Program, meeting pipeline growth and fundraising targets.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with colleagues in Advancement and academic leaders to foster a culture of planned giving, and contribute to our acquisition objectives.
  • Ensure best-practice gift planning: including due diligence and estate administration, in line with legal and policy frameworks

You may be a great fit if:

You are a relationship-driven fundraising professional with strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of estate planning, and a passion for connecting donors' legacies with the transformative impact of education and research.

You may also:

  • Have an appropriate tertiary degree with relevant fundraising experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Demonstrate significant success in identifying, cultivating, and securing gifts in wills or major gifts.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage sensitively in confidential settings.
  • Have experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management and donors.
  • Show proficiency in using CRM systems or equivalent platforms.
