Your next career opportunity

As the Senior Advancement Project Manager for Infectious Disease and Immunity, you'll steer ambitious fundraising campaigns for groundbreaking health initiatives. You'll manage major gift projects, often exceeding $5 million, while collaborating with prestigious institutions like the Doherty and Burnet Institutes. This role offers you the chance to demonstrate your exceptional project management skills and make a significant impact on global health outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Steer Strategic Fundraising Campaigns: Develop and implement operational plans for infectious disease and immunity fundraising initiatives, aligning with strategic goals.
  • Manage High-Value Philanthropic Projects: Coordinate detailed plans for securing and implementing significant gifts, including budgeting, prospect qualification, and outreach strategies.
  • Foster Key Partnerships: Develop strong relationships with institute leadership, foundation partners, and executive teams to advance fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide High-Level Project Support: Prepare complex briefings, project proposals, and status reports that support data-driven decision making for various advisory and leadership boards.

You may be a great fit if:

You are an experienced project manager with a strong background in philanthropy, possessing exceptional communication skills and the ability to work autonomously with initiative, while managing complex stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary qualification with extensive relevant experience in project management and philanthropy.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and experience in budget management and planning processes.
  • Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Be goal-oriented with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work with limited direction.
  • Have knowledge of Advancement in higher education or the health sector, particularly in Australia.
