The Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre Limited (VTAC) empowers, connects, and supports learners and providers to enable transparent and inclusive access to education. We aim to be a contemporary organisation that creates and delivers value for our stakeholders.
We act as a bridge between prospective students and Victorian universities, TAFE institutes and independent tertiary colleges. Each year we process around 83,000 applications for tertiary courses and issue a similar number of offers throughout the year on behalf of institutions. This includes the provision of information and enquiry services to applicants and schools.
VTAC also conducts the annual scaling of VCE results and the calculation of the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), including arrangements for International Baccalaureate students and interstate students.
Our IT Services department focuses on the maintenance and continuous improvement of infrastructure and systems. It supports applicant and institution service delivery and efficient data management.
About the role
The Senior Dynamics CRM Developer is responsible for leading the design, configuration and enhancement of the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement platform and Power Platform tools to support complex business needs and organisational priorities. This includes delivering and overseeing technical implementations, managing integration, automation, and security models, and ensuring alignment with enterprise systems and digital architecture. The role plays a critical part in translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and delivering innovative digital services. Critical to the success of the role is the ability to exercise a high level of professional judgement and leadership in stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis, and solution development. The Senior Developer will also contribute to the development of standards, mentor junior team members, and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to support enterprise-wide systems delivery.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong experience in Azure B2C custom policies, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer
Engagement (CRM) and the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages
Knowledge in Customer insights (desirable)
Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS and REST APIs
Proven Experience with Plugin development, Power automates, Power pages, Power apps, Power portal, Scribe, Dataverse / CDS, JavaScript.
Experience in development through cloud services preferably Azure - API Apps, API Management, Web Apps and Functions.
Knowledge of efficient implementation, maintenance and monitoring CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in Power BI, CRM reporting.
Skills in modern software development techniques such as continuous delivery, test driven development, pair programming, etc.
Proficiency in data modelling for accurate reporting.
Excellent relationship management and consulting skills including the ability to engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, influence and negotiate at the highest levels
Highly-developed analytical and conceptual skills including demonstrated ability to conceptualise, develop and translate complex business issues into innovative, workable solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide authoritative advice and effectively translate and present complex concepts and information
Experience in leading/mentoring a team
Knowledge of logic apps and functions, copilot studio highly desirable
Education/Qualifications
The appointee will have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field; or
an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Consultant
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (CRM or Customer Engagement)
