Profusion is teaming up with one of Australia's top Super funds that genuinely puts its members first. Their digital team is focused on improving the way Australians interact with their finances and mobile is at the heart of that experience. They're after a Senior Android Developer to help take their app to the next level.

Role Overview

As a Senior Android Developer, you'll be working on a widely used native mobile app, the kind of product that genuinely makes people’s lives easier.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team where your input will shape new features, drive improvements to performance, and keep the tech stack current. The role is hands-on, delivery-focused, and offers the chance to make a real impact on an app with a huge user base.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and maintaining Android apps using Kotlin
• Supporting clean architecture and development patterns like MVVM and Jetpack
• Working with designers, product managers, and engineers to roll out new features
• Using Coroutines, Flows, and LiveData for smooth UI and background processing
• Integrating APIs and Firebase App Distribution
• Writing and reviewing well-tested code (JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric)
• Keeping things running smoothly through CI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps)
• Staying across changes in the Android ecosystem and bringing fresh thinking to the team

What you’ll need:

• At least 5 years' experience building Android apps in Kotlin
• Strong grasp of Android SDK and modern development tools
• Confident using RxJava, Coroutines, and reactive programming concepts
• Familiar with Jetpack libraries and a clean, modular architecture
• Used to working in Agile teams and collaborating across disciplines
• Experience with Firebase services (esp. App Distribution)
• Bonus if you’ve dabbled in Jetpack Compose
