The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to be part of delivering two exciting major projects. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to progress their career in project management by being part of a dynamic and fast paced team. These projects are at the early stages of design so this will be an opportunity to be part of shaping the developments that respond to the needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all tasks necessary for the successful program and project management of assigned large scale capital programs and projects in the planning, development, programming, design,construction, change process and handover of same.
- Develop and contribute to the Business Case for Council’s suite of large-scale capital programs and projects.
- Develop and comply with Council’s policies and procedures as they relate to the project management of large-scale capital projects.
- Coordinate all aspects of organisational change associated with assigned programs and projects.
- Provide budgetary control and provide regular reports to Council, Executive, Project Sponsor and Project Owner on all aspects of assigned programs and projects.
- In conjunction with relevant managers provide strategic input into to the development of Council’s ten-year capital works program.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, building, project management, business or equivalent, or qualifications in another field or lesser formal qualifications with extensive and diverse experience in all aspects of program and project management.
- Extensive experience in program and project management of large-scale local government infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experience in contract management, negotiation and dispute resolution of large-scale local government infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experience in change management in large organisations including the use of recognised change management methodologies.
- Current valid white card (construction induction training).
- Current valid Victorian driver’s licence.
