Our business creates and sells an extensive range of traditional French pastries, specialising in a large range of authentic bread, cakes biscuits. Operating since 2012, the business began with a vision to bring elements of traditional French café culture to the Bayside suburbs of Hampton.
About the Role
As a Pastrycook, you will be responsible for developing and following recipes, as well as baking and preparing a range of traditional French pastries and baked goods to be sold to customers.
The main tasks and duties of the role will include:
Preparing and bake a variety of French pastries, with a primary focus on Eclairs, including choux pastry preparation, preparing and inserting fillings, glazing, and decorating.
Developing and following precise recipes and company presentation standards for classic and modern twists on French pastries, ensuring consistent quality and portion control
Working collaboratively with chefs, servers, and other pastrycooks to meet high-volume production demands, particularly during peak service periods
Ensuring the daily completion of mise en place, including preparing and measuring ingredients before service begins
At all times, maintaining strict food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen and work areas, in line with Australian food handling regulations
Assisting with stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering ingredients and materials
