About the role

We are seeking talented and experienced Senior Chef’s to join our dynamic team at PAC Group in Hobart, Tasmania. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the kitchen operations in conjunction with our head chef, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

What you'll be doing

Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, menu development, and staff supervision

Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and timeliness

Collaborate with the management team to develop innovative, seasonal menus that showcase the best of local Tasmanian produce

Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations

Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs to optimize profitability

Contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the business

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Chef or equivalent role in a fast-paced, high-quality hospitality environment

Proven track record of leading and managing a kitchen team, with excellent people management skills

Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu design, and inventory management

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team

Passion for using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients to create exceptional dining experiences

Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are highly desirable
