The Role (50/50 split)

Safety

• Ensuring compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and management systems
• Lead and facilitate Site Risk assessments
• Participate and review in site SWMS/JHA
• Undertake safety inspections, interactions, audits and provide recommendations for improvements
• where required
• Providing on-site expertise for all HSE matters
• Build strong, effective relationships with subbies and foster a positive working culture on site

Supervision

• Supervision and coordination of subcontractors
• Organising and scheduling of materials and deliveries
• Assist with sequencing and planning of works to be completed
• Work with the Site Manager to deliver scheduled works in line with programme and quality

The Person

• Cert IV or above in Occupational Health & Safety
• Proven experience and expertise as a HSE Advisor/Officer on construction sites
• An understanding of all relevant Health, Safety, and Quality Legislation and standards
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven experience in supervision and/or leadership roles on site
• Confident in organising, allocating and scheduling works with subbies
• Site-based construction experience in Australia on built form projects (Commercial, Industrial or similar)
• Use of Hammertech essential
