Birch Care is currently hiring Casual Disability Support Workers to join our passionate and growing team. You’ll be supporting people with a wide range of disabilities across Supported Independent Living (SIL), community access, and personal care. Whether you're an experienced support worker or looking to step into a more meaningful role—this could be the opportunity for you.
We are currently recruiting for positions across the Gold Coast, Logan, and Brisbane areas.
About the Role – Casual Disability Support Worker
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
Assist participants in their homes and out in the community.
Provide personal care, support with daily living, and manual handling (hoists, mobility).
Help administer medications and follow participant support plans.
Encourage social inclusion, confidence, and independence.
Work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and overnights (SIL).

Autism
Physical Disabilities
Intellectual Disability
Down Syndrome
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
Schizophrenia
Bipolar Disorder
And other psychosocial or complex needs
What You’ll Need:
Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or Mental Health.
Minimum 6 months' experience in disability, aged care, or mental health or prior hands-on support experience (formal or informal).
Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply).
Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
First Aid and CPR certification.
A Driver’s Licence and access to a registered, insured car.
Full Australian working rights.
Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) or working with complex behaviours is desirable, but not essential. We value your attitude, commitment, and compassion most.
