Remuneration: $119,746.50 to $134,049.51 pa + superannuation & leave loading

Campaspe Shire Council is seeking a forward-thinking and influential Strategic Advocacy Lead to champion our advocacy agenda and secure vital funding for community priorities. This pivotal role will see you working across the organisation to shape and deliver advocacy strategies that influence key decision-makers and attract government investment. You’ll also oversee our external grants program, guiding the preparation and submission of compelling funding applications. If you're passionate about public policy, strategic engagement and making a tangible impact, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose and vision.

To be successful for this role you will require:

• Degree or Diploma with several years’ relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience in law, economics, political science, public policy or communications.
• Demonstrated advocacy experience, including skills in developing and executing advocacy plans to achieve funding and/or policy outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt and convey complex issues to Councillors and senior management, in a concise and clear manner.
• Experience in project planning and implementation.
• Extensive experience working in multi-stakeholder, politically sensitive and complex environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong planning, time management and attention to detail, to successfully manage concurrent projects and tight deadlines.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Valid National Police Check.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
