RSPCA NT is an incorporated association in the NT and is a member of RSPCA Australia. The role
The Fundraising and Communications Coordinator is primarily focused on helping with planning and executing the marketing and fundraising function for RSPCA NT. They also form the touch point for managing external communications, including newsletters, social media and campaigns.
The role includes:
Working with the Operations Manager to develop communications, marketing and fundraising strategies.
Taking responsibility for the planning and execution of fundraising activities.
Working with team members of other Member Societies to develop and execute national fundraising and communications plans.
Ensuring regular and effective external communications are developed and maintained by means of newsletters, social media and radio interface.
Working closely with the rest of the RSPCA NT team, including Vet team, Shelter Supervisor and Animal Attendants to understand the day-to-day needs to better facilitate fundraising and communication needs.
Contributing to the ongoing capability development of the shelter team.
Position requirements
Ideally you will:
Have a high level of developed interpersonal skills,
Have a good understanding of the relevant needs of a Not for Profit organisation,
Have a good understanding of the local market,
Be gregarious and outgoing,
Be tenacious and prepared to keep pushing on doors,
Have excellent communication skills,
A high level of attention to detail, and above all,
Be passionate about animal welfare.
