Forensic Plumbing is seeking a qualified and experienced plumber to join our team, specialising in leak detection services and insurance reporting.
At Forensic Plumbing, we specialise in detailed plumbing inspections, leak detection, water ingress investigations and insurance reporting across residential and commercial properties. Due to ongoing demand and continued growth, we are looking to add an experienced Plumber with strong investigative and reporting skills to our Brisbane-based team.
Role Overview:
As a Plumber at Forensic Plumbing, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide top-tier service in the insurance industry. You’ll be responsible for conducting onsite inspections, identifying and diagnosing plumbing-related issues (such as leaks, water ingress, stormwater failures, rising damp and roof issues) and prepare detailed reports backed by evidence. You’ll also liaise with clients and insurance stakeholders and carry out minor make-safe works when required. On occasion, you will be required to complete general and maintenance plumbing, repairs and drainage.
The role involves:
Carry out advanced plumbing investigations and leak detection using moisture meters, thermal imaging, CCTV drain cameras, pressure tests, flood testing and water spray testing
Document findings and produce high-quality reports (training and templates provided)
Conduct comprehensive roof inspections and provide detailed roof condition reports
Perform CCTV drain camera inspections to identify blockages and structural issues
Complete sewer and stormwater pipe renewals and repairs to industry standards
Undertake general plumbing maintenance and repairs with a focus on quality workmanship
No after-hours call-outs — enjoy work-life balance

Qualifications and Licences:
Certificate III in plumbing
Australian Residency
White Card
Current QLD drivers licence
Skills and Experience:
3 years+ post apprenticeship plumbing experience required
Leak detection experience is essential
Knowledge and understanding of AUS/NZ plumbing standards is a must
Must be able to work autonomously with excellent problem solving skills
Punctual and well presented individual with a high attention to detail
Great people skills both with fellow workmates and customers
Honest and trustworthy
Take pride in your work and go the extra mile to make sure the job is top notch
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving industry practices
Excellent verbal and written communication
Experience in operating mini excavation equipment highly regarded
Experience in using job management programs
Technical proficiency and understanding of industry standards

Starting between $95,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience)
