Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Digital Designer to lead the creation and implementation of digital assets across multiple platforms, ensuring peony's brand identity is consistently and compellingly represented. This role demands a harmonious blend of creative excellence, strategic insight, and a profound understanding of digital commerce, and current and emerging industry trends. The ideal candidate will have a robust portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital design within the fashion industry, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling and customer-centric e-commerce experiences.
Success in this role requires fluency in digital best practices, UX/UI design, and platform-specific optimisation, especially within Shopify. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all digital assets align with business goals, customer insights, and brand strategy. This role also involves actively managing and maintaining Shopify content, including product information, collection tags, metadata, and segmentation strategies. Your ability to blend creativity with operational precision will be essential in delivering visually stunning, high-converting digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Design: Develop high-quality digital assets across all touchpoints, including social media, website, and EDMs. Ensure designs reflect peony’s brand ethos and aesthetic.
Journal & Lookbooks: Design visually compelling journal entries and lookbooks that align with seasonal campaigns and brand storytelling.
Klaviyo CRM, Flows & EDMs: Design and execute Klaviyo email marketing campaigns, flows, and automated sequences to drive engagement and conversions.
Digital Advertising Assets: Create performance-driven digital advertising assets for paid social and other online marketing channels, optimising for engagement and conversion.
Campaign & Event Support: Design and develop creative assets to support brand campaigns, product launches, and events, ensuring a cohesive and engaging brand presence.
Website Management: Oversee and enhance peony’s Shopify website, ensuring seamless navigation, an elevated customer experience, and consistent visual branding across all pages. Regularly update homepage, banners, product pages, and key campaign assets.
Shopify Content & E-commerce Operations:
Manage and optimise product listings, descriptions, metadata, tags, and collections to enhance discoverability and conversion.
Manage merchandising to ensure accurate and compelling product storytelling.
Organise content to support seasonal campaigns, product launches, and customer journey flows.
Ensure product and content updates are executed efficiently and accurately across the site.
SEO Optimisation: Collaborate to optimise website content for search engines, including product metadata, alt tags, and on-page copy.
Ad Hoc Design Support: Provide design assistance across various projects, ensuring brand consistency.
Trend Analysis & Innovation: Stay up to date with digital design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, ensuring peony remains at the forefront of digital innovation.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in digital design, preferably within the fashion, luxury, or lifestyle sectors.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
Strong experience with Shopify, including content management, theme customisation, and product merchandising.
Confident managing product data, copy, tags, and customer segments within Shopify.
Strong grasp of UX/UI design principles and ability to translate brand aesthetics into a seamless online experience.
Experience with email marketing platforms, particularly Klaviyo.
Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
Strong understanding of digital marketing and content analytics.
Ability to design performance-driven advertising creatives for digital campaigns.
Excellent copywriting skills with a strong understanding of brand tone and storytelling.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
