Our client is an Australian-based mining technology company who is a best-in-class leader in real-time elemental and moisture analysis of bulk materials, providing operators with real-time data to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. As they continue to expand globally, they need a proactive Marketing & Communications Lead to execute strategic initiatives that strengthen their brand and drive business growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer you will lead the execution of strategic marketing and communication initiatives that strengthen the company’s brand, drive national and global business awareness and growth, and support product adoption across key markets. This role requires a combination of technical marketing acumen, global brand awareness, social awareness and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences in the mining and resources sector, and supervisory responsibilities of and working with another marketing resource.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Planning - Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and global market expansion goals. Identify target markets, customer segments, and competitor positioning within the mining technology sector.
Brand & Content Management – Manage the company's brand presence and ensure consistency across all channels. Craft compelling narratives to communicate the value proposition of the company’s best-in-class proven solutions to a global audience. Lead the development of marketing collateral, case studies, brochures, and technical content.
Digital Marketing Execution – Oversee the website, drive digital campaigns, SEO/SEM initiatives, email marketing, and social media engagement to build awareness and generate qualified leads.
Trade Shows & Events – Plan and manage participation in global mining exhibitions and industry events.
Internal & External Communications – Act as the primary communications liaison, maintaining strong media relationships and developing PR campaigns. Coordinate internal communications to ensure alignment and engagement across the business.
Marketing Analytics & Reporting – Track performance metrics and optimise campaigns for maximum impact.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a B2B marketing role.
Proven experience in local, national, and global marketing campaigns.
Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical information into engaging content.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
Desirable:
Experience working with company’s leadership team and operational departments, national and international partners, and cross-cultural marketing.
