Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth functioning in the absence of senior management. The Duty Manager plays a critical leadership role in supervising staff, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring compliance with store policies, safety, and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for the store during assigned shifts.

Supervise, support, and motivate team members across all departments.

Ensure high levels of customer service are delivered consistently.

Handle customer complaints, incidents, or emergencies professionally and promptly.

Oversee cash handling procedures, banking, and till reconciliations.

Monitor stock levels, merchandising, and store presentation standards.

Enforce health & safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.

Conduct opening and closing procedures, including security checks and daily reporting.

Communicate effectively with management and assist with staff scheduling and training.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in retail or supermarket manager (minimum 1–2 years preferred).

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work flexible shifts.

Solid understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Computer literacy (POS systems, email, and basic reporting tools).
