We’re seeking a sharp, confident, and experienced Recruitment Consultant who understands the Australian employment landscape inside out. This is a full-time, on-site role in Canberra for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and values building strong, face-to-face relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients across the ACT and broader regions
Drive account growth through proactive relationship management and a deep understanding of client needs
Support new client acquisition efforts by identifying leads, nurturing prospects, and contributing to business development strategies
Create and implement effective, fit-for-purpose sourcing strategies
Navigate Australian employment standards and recruitment regulations confidently
Find, assess, and secure top-tier candidates aligned to client needs
Facilitate clear, professional communication between clients and candidates
Your Day-to-Day
Source and screen candidates using job boards, databases, referrals, and direct outreach
Conduct interviews (phone, virtual, and face-to-face) to assess suitability and culture fit
Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear summaries and insights
Provide timely and constructive feedback to both clients and candidates
Maintain accurate recruitment records in line with privacy and compliance obligations
Drive account growth by deepening existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to support additional roles or business units
Actively support client acquisition by attending networking events, preparing capability statements, and contributing to proposal writing and pitch meetings
Represent the company professionally at local industry meetups, events, and client site visits
What You Bring
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in recruitment and business development
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline is highly regarded but not mandatory
Strong understanding of Australian workplace laws, Fair Work compliance, and hiring regulations
Solid MS Office skills and experience using ATS or recruitment platforms (e.g., JobAdder, SEEK, LinkedIn Recruiter)
Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
Nice to Have
Certificate IV or Diploma in HR, Recruitment or similar
Experience working with or recruiting for large enterprise clients, with IBM experience highly regarded
Familiarity with public sector recruitment, APS merit principles, or security-cleared roles
Strong local industry knowledge or niche candidate networks
